What is Application Builder?
AppBuilder is an online wizard that allows Mitel Business Partners to develop
HTML Toolkit Applications that run on Mitel IP phones. AppBuilder is useful
whenever you want the same screens, that are different from the normal corporate screens that
ship with the Mitel system, to be displayed on all of your users’ phones.
AppBuilder not only allows you to develop applications, it also provides you with
an online demo of your application that you can email to your customer to review.
AppBuilder helps Business Partners deliver added value, and it helps you demonstrate
that added value to your customers while they are making their purchasing decisions. AppBuilder
is the most advanced HTML content building application for VoIP phones of its kind.
What are HTML Toolkit Applications?
When equipped with an HTML Toolkit 2 license, the large screen on Mitel 5320, 5330, 5340
and 5360 phones connected to a Mitel MCD PBX can display HTML content.
To display this kind of content, applications need to be built using the Mitel
HTML Toolkit. AppBuilder automates and simplifies the whole process, giving you the ability
to create HTML Toolkit Applications without writing a single line of code.
AppBuilder currently allows you to build two types of applications:
- Hospitality GUI Replacement Applications for Mitel 5360 colour phones, to be used
in hotel and residential properties.
- Screensavers for 5320/30/40 and 5360 large screen display phones.
For other types of HTML Toolkit applications, including programming personalized content
(such as Twitter, RSS feeds, Flickr) or personal speed-dial onto end-user keys, please

What does it Cost to use AppBuilder?
Nothing! The applications provided are specific to a model of phone (see above),
and current AppBuilder applications are provided for creation, demonstration, download and use
by Mitel Business Partners free of charge. All AppBuilder applications do require
the phone to have a valid HTML Toolkit 2 license. Screensaver applications are free
for users of Mitel MCD version 4.2 SP 1 or newer.
